The Purpose CPA team is thrilled to announce that our organization is the first organization in Richmond, BC to be certified as a Living Wage Employer. What does this mean?
As a Living Wage Employer, organizations are committed ensuring each individual employee is given a living wage, an hourly amount that a family requires to cover basic expenses. The calculation is formed on the basis of a two-parent family with two children – the most common family unit in British Columbia. The current living wage for Metro Vancouver is $19.50 an hour.
“At Purpose CPA, we believe in a world where all businesses are conscious businesses, with a broader view of success beyond just the bottom line. The benefit is clear, financially stable employees are happier and more productive which positively impacts our client services. Taking care of our team is not just the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do.” – Matt Wong, Co-Founder & Advisor
Becoming a certified Living Wage Employer is a voluntary commitment organization make to invest in their local communities and economies.
Our team truly believes in the good work and commitment that comes from our staff. By enabling our organization to become a Living Wage Employer, allows for us to make one step closer to a world where all businesses are conscious businesses.
