What are Advisory Services?
Our Advisory Services are designed to either provide the extra manpower to assist your business through one-off projects such as technology implementation or seasonal needs such as year-end. Or if you require a senior finance person, we can provide the part-time Controller for your full-time business on a monthly basis to oversee the full-cycle accounting and month-end process.
How does Advisory differ from Bookkeeping?
Bookkeeping ensures your business transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis with the proper supporting documentation. As designated Accountants, we are trained to advise on accounting standards and compliance. And as Advisors, we are equipped to advise your growing business on areas such as technology, people, and operations.
How does Advisory differ from External Accounting?
External accountants take the records from your bookkeeper or finance team and create financial statements according to accounting standards. In turn, these statements are used to prepare the year-end tax return and are generally relied upon for review by external parties such as banks and shareholders. Depending on your requirements, the External Accountant may audit your records to ensure further accuracy. This is transactional work and completed annually. As Advisors, we are involved in your day-to-day business in order to support our projects or monthly oversight. Simply put, we are engaged in your daily business for our work to succeed.
Do you provide fixed price contracts?
While we are happy to estimate the time to support a project or provide monthly oversight, our Advisory services are billed in 15 minute increments. Generally, our variable billing reflects the complex and unpredictable nature of senior finance work.
